Serious RTC in Moelfre, Abergele

Two people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision near Abergele this afternoon (Tuesday, 3 November).

Shortly before 1pm, police were informed of a two-vehicle collision on the B5381 in Moelfre, near to the cross-roads of the A548.

Ambulance and Fire and Rescue Service were informed as a man was believed to be trapped in one of the vehicles.

A man was airlifted to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by the Air Ambulance with serious injuries, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A woman was taken by road ambulance with what is believed to be minor injuries.

The road was closed whilst recovery was being arranged and re-opened shortly after 15:45.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact officers at the Western Roads Policing Unit on 101, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
