Pupils enter the dragon's den

Pupils from eight Neath Port Talbot schools are entering the "Dragon's Den".

The pupils and their teachers are pitting their entrepreneurial skills and business plans to four Ddraigiau (Dragons) on Tuesday, November 10.

The four local businessmen, Geraint Hawkes from Neath Rugby Club, Mark Bailey at Trade Centre Wales, Kuldeep Singh from a Cimla supermarket chain, Cimla and Antony Smith from Tornado films have agreed to act as the 'Dragons' for the Ogof y Ddraig event at the Orangery, Margam Park

They will be putting their money where their mouth is and invest up to £250 per school in the pupils' businesses, if they believe that the venture has the potential to make money.

Neath Port Talbot Council leader Ali Thomas said: "Pupils are being given a real opportunity to develop their business skills and by taking part will gain valuable experiences and skills to prepare them for the world of work and inspire them to become the entrepreneurs of the future."
