Burglary in Ewloe

An appeal for witnesses and information is being made following a burglary at an address on Holywell Road in Ewloe yesterday morning (Tuesday, 3rd November).

At approx. 08:50 a man was washing up in the kitchen of his home with his wife. He heard a loud bang and assumed that it was workmen at his neighbours’ house.

Approximately five minutes later the man went into the lounge and saw a man looking in his wife's handbag. He asked him how he had got in to the property and the man then left.

The offender is described as being white, aged in his early twenties and was slim build with short fair hair.

He left the premises empty handed, however it would appear he had gone upstairs as bedroom wardrobes had been entered.

Entry was gained by forcing the front door to the premises.

Anybody who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in or around the area of Holywell Road, or anybody who may have seen a man of a similar description in the area should contact officers at Mold Police Station on 101, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
